As you may be aware, Kerala Exporters' forum has always remained at the forefront not only in creating platforms to share ideas and learn from best practices but equally advocating and representing Industry/Exporters' concerns to government and Policy regulators. Kerala Exporters' forum has been enabling joint action by Government and various Union and State Ministry.

We have had several consultations on what should be the way forward on the policy front. In fact, Several of forum's suggestions like - waiver of GRI (Gross Rate Index) charged on Ocean freight by Shipping and Airlines, morotarium on business and term loans during Covid Pandemic, additional Infusion and pumping of cash flow for working capital for Exporters, extension of period for availing MEIS (Merchant Exports Incentive Scheme) for exporters, allowing of Rupee Transaction Mechanism (RTM) on International Trade by Reserve Bank of India, are some of the Policy related matters addressed on the representation submitted by forum. Many of the Policy matters are amended by a Special Notification by Govt. of India/Finance/Commercial, Shipping and Aviation Ministries. Apart from expediting of GST refunds for Exports, and other receivables from ministry/departments, conducting various exhibitions/events, B2B in both India and International market, immediate intervention of Department of Commerce/DGFT to promote and boost Exports from the present status are some other important steps taken by forum.

Moreover, we continue to represent the challenges being faced by the Industry and Exporters' at the ground level. We have enabled our members as well as our Associated Bodies to address concerns they are facing and worked with them to solve problems relating to supply chain, access to markets, movement of goods and support with developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) across our State.

All our activities are oriented to achieve our mission and are around the concept of Nation Building and as a Member to enhance efficiency and global competitiveness of Indian Origin Products by Make in India across the world. Exclusive high-level interactions with foreign dignitaries, International Financial Institutions, Ambassadors, High Commissioners & dignitaries from Indian Ports Association, become an integral part of the process.Forum had deligational representation with Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, Srilankan Chamber of Commerce, Vietnam Apex Trade Promotion Council and Penang Chamber in Malasiya.

Kerala Exporters' forum has a strong base of membership representing almost all sectors of the Economy, Trade and Industry of every scale and size across the State. The forum, along with its allied bodies such as Confederation of Indian Trade Industry (CITI), FICCI,FIEO, ICC-India, and various Chambers of Commerce has a solid base in State and Nation alike.

Kerala Exporters' forum has representation with various State and Central bodies, provide research inputs, business linkages and global connectivity within the State and industry for promoting investments and business collaborations. Govt. of India, Ministry of Commerce had included forum representation in Export Promotion Council(EPC), in Indian Ports Association(IPA),District and State Advisory Councils.
