KEF gives
due importance to study. The main study programm is for
priests. Almost every three months the priests come
together for a serious study. A resource person will
present a paper and it will be followed by discussion.
All the priests will have common meal. Some of the
topics are : “ World council of churches ( WCC) and its
impact on Ecumenism” Secularism and Pastoral work“
“Preistshood ” "Discipleship", etc... |

There are 14
convents in and around Kunnamkulam. The sisters are also
called to participate in this movement. The sisters give
lead to monthly prayers. The sisters are also given
class on ecumenism as apart of ecumenical formation .
There is a committee of sisters to organize the classes. |

The
participation of laymen in this ecumenical process is
very decisive. There are several committees of laymen.
They have a study group. At present a course on “ St.
Paul and his teaching” is going on . 37 participants
have registered for this course. It is thirty hour
course of two credit- a course affiliated to Christian
Chair of Calicut University. There is committee to
monitor the course. |
